A Heartfelt Look Back at 2025 — and What’s Ahead
This year-in-review collage reflects the families, newborns, and motherhood stories I had the honor of documenting throughout 2025 as a Roseburg, Oregon family and newborn photographer.

As a Roseburg-based family, maternity, and newborn photographer, my work has always been about more than photos. It’s about preserving seasons of life that move far too quickly.
As the calendar turns and we welcome a new year, I always find myself pausing — not to rush ahead, but to reflect. 2025 was a year of growth, connection, and deeply meaningful work here in Southern Oregon. From welcoming newborns just days old, to photographing growing families who return year after year, this season reminded me why I do what I do.

2025 Through My Lens
This year brought an incredible mix of sessions — each one unique, each one deeply personal.
- Newborn sessions filled with quiet moments, soft light, and tiny details parents never want to forget.
- Maternity sessions celebrating strength, anticipation, and the beauty of motherhood in all its forms.
- Family sessions full of laughter, movement, and connection — the kind that can’t be posed.
- Studio and outdoor sessions across Roseburg and Douglas County, blending natural light with curated, timeless styling.
One of the most special parts of 2025 was seeing returning families — documenting siblings who were once newborns, toddlers who are now confident little personalities, and parents growing alongside their children. These long‑term relationships are truly the heart of my business.
Studio Growth & Community in 2025
This year also marked continued growth inside my downtown studio. The studio became more than just a workspace — it became a calm, welcoming place for families to slow down, breathe, and feel cared for during their session.
I also felt incredibly supported by our local community in Roseburg and surrounding Douglas County. Working with local vendors, creatives, and families continues to be one of the greatest joys of running a small business here.
Photography With Intention
In 2025, I leaned even deeper into an approach rooted in:
- Timeless, natural editing
- Authentic emotion over forced posing
- Simple, organic setups that let families shine
- Heirloom-quality prints and tangible artwork
Trends come and go, but my goal has always stayed the same: to create photographs that still feel meaningful decades from now.
Favorite Photography Locations from 2025
One of the things I love most about being a photographer in Southern Oregon is the variety of locations available — from lush gardens to waterfalls to the quiet comfort of home. Some of my favorite sessions from 2025 took place in these meaningful spaces:
Discovery Garden in Roseburg, Oregon
A longtime favorite, Discovery Garden offers beautiful, ever-changing backdrops throughout the seasons. With winding paths, mature trees, florals, and open grassy areas, it’s a wonderful location for maternity and family sessions — especially for little ones who need space to explore. The garden feels peaceful, natural, and timeless, which aligns perfectly with my photography style.
Wolf Creek Falls near Glide, Oregon
For families and couples who love a more adventurous setting, Wolf Creek Falls is truly special. The mossy forest, flowing water, and soft light create a storybook feel that photographs beautifully year-round. This location is ideal for families who don’t mind a short walk and want something a little more wild and scenic.
In-Home Newborn Sessions
Some of the most intimate and meaningful sessions happen right at home. In-home newborn photography allows families to stay comfortable while documenting those early days in a familiar space. These sessions focus on connection — feeding, rocking, cuddling, and settling into life with a new baby — resulting in images that feel deeply personal and honest.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we step into a new year, I’m carrying forward everything 2025 taught me — with excitement for what’s ahead.
In 2026, you can expect:
- Continued focus on family, maternity, and newborn photography in Roseburg, Oregon
- More opportunities for studio sessions designed for comfort and connection
- Thoughtfully styled setups that remain neutral, timeless, and child‑friendly
- An emphasis on printed products that turn images into lasting keepsakes
If you’re welcoming a baby, updating family photos, or simply wanting to document this season of life, I would be honored to work with you in the year ahead.
