Christmas Minis are officially wrapped for 2025 — and what a season it was. 🤍
This year felt extra special as my first full holiday season in the new downtown studio, and it was such a gift to see so many familiar faces return year after year, alongside families stepping in for their very first mini session with me. Watching families grow, reconnecting each season, and welcoming new ones into the mix is the heart of why I do this. I’m endlessly grateful for the trust, the joy, and the relationships that continue to grow — and I’m starting to feel like Roseburg is truly home.

A little gift to say thank you ❤️
One of my favorite traditions is gifting each family something to take with them after their session. This year’s client gift was a mini stocking filled with local treats and cozy goodies:
- Jacobsen Salt Co. Oregon caramels
- Meadowland mini syrups (by Katie Daisy — the artist behind the beloved Roseburg mural!)
- And a $10 SOCO Coffee gift card — because celebrating with something warm and delicious across the street just felt right.
Supporting local makers and small businesses is important to me, and including a taste of southern Oregon felt like the perfect way to end each session. I’m glad so many Roseburg families came to Myrtle Creek and had fun exploring downtown businesses and scenery.
Behind the Scenes 🤍

While the final galleries are calm, cozy, and polished, the truth is that this season was very much a family affair behind the scenes.
My father-in-law traveled all the way from Kansas and poured his heart (and a lot of elbow grease) into the studio — finishing new flooring, repairing plaster walls, and getting everything painted just in time for Christmas Minis to begin. This space truly carries the hands and love of family within its walls.
At home, my husband was my quiet constant — making tea every night while I edited late into the evenings, rubbing my very tired third-trimester feet after long weekends of photographing, and cheering me on in all the ways that matter most.
And of course, my kids are always part of the story. Sometimes they help in the most practical ways… and sometimes in very, very creative ones. 😉 From “helping” move props to leaving their own tiny fingerprints on the process, they remind me daily that this business is built right alongside our life — messy, meaningful, and full of love.
These sessions may look simple on the surface, but they are layered with family, support, and a whole lot of heart — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Celebrating another memorable season
Thank you — truly — to everyone who stepped in front of my camera this year. Whether this was your third time doing Christmas minis or your very first, I’m honored to document your traditions and turn them into tangible memories you can share, print, and look back on for years to come.

Christmas Mini Session FAQs — Roseburg & Douglas County, Oregon
What are Christmas mini sessions?
Christmas mini sessions are short, seasonal photography sessions designed to capture meaningful holiday portraits in a relaxed and efficient way. My Roseburg Christmas minis take place in my downtown Myrtle Creek studio and are styled with neutral, timeless holiday details so your photos feel cozy now and still beautiful years from now.
What makes your Christmas minis different?
These sessions are about connection, not perfection. I focus on natural interaction, gentle prompts, and creating space for families to be themselves. Many of my clients return year after year, and getting to document growing families, new siblings, and changing seasons of life is what makes these sessions so special.
Are Christmas mini sessions good for young children or toddlers?
Absolutely. The studio setting is warm, safe, and low-stress, making it ideal for babies, toddlers, and young kids. Sessions are paced gently, and I leave room for movement, snuggles, and breaks as needed — especially for little ones.
What should we wear for Christmas mini sessions?
While my client closet is not available for Christmas mini sessions, I always encourage families to wear something that feels comfortable, confident, and true to them. My holiday setups are intentionally organic, simple, and neutral, which allows your family to be the focus — not the backdrop.
Because the sets are designed to complement a wide range of styles, families photograph beautifully whether they choose classic holiday colors, soft neutrals, cozy knits, or more modern seasonal looks. I recommend coordinating colors and textures rather than matching exactly, and choosing pieces that allow for movement, snuggles, and natural interaction.
If you’re ever unsure, I’m always happy to offer guidance so your outfits feel cohesive while still letting your personalities shine.
Where can we shop locally in Roseburg for Christmas mini outfits?
Shopping locally is a wonderful way to support our community, and Roseburg has some great options for finding outfits that photograph beautifully for Christmas mini sessions.
For babies and toddlers, Carter’s in Roseburg is a go-to for coordinated and matching sibling outfits. Their seasonal pieces are soft, comfortable, and ideal for little ones who need room to move and be themselves during a session.
If you love sustainable shopping or are looking for something unique, KidCents is a fantastic local option for gently used baby and children’s clothing. It’s a great place to find beautiful, high-quality pieces at a lower cost — perfect for quickly growing kids.
For moms, Bohemian Rhapsody Boutique in Roseburg offers thoughtfully curated clothing with soft textures, flattering silhouettes, and an effortless feel that photographs so well in studio light. Their pieces pair beautifully with my organic, neutral Christmas mini setups.
Because my holiday sets are designed to be simple and timeless, families shine in whatever seasonal attire they choose — whether that’s matching holiday outfits, cozy neutrals, or classic Christmas tones.
Do Christmas minis include both posed and candid photos?
Yes. You’ll receive a mix of softly guided portraits and candid, in-between moments. Those unplanned smiles, hugs, and glances often become the most treasured images — the ones that truly reflect your family.
How often do you offer Christmas mini sessions?
Christmas minis are offered once per year and typically book quickly. Returning families are encouraged to join the email list for early access, as spots are limited and dates are not repeated.
